Charlotte Lady Bonham Carter - Obituary - TrustNews February 1990

We were all saddened to learn of the death of Charlotte Lady Bonham Carter, which occured just before Christmas. She was a well known and much loved personality, born in Hampshire where she spent much of her life, inheriting her house, Binstead Wyck, near Alton, from her mother. She had an immensely wide range of friends and interest and was a Vice President of the Trust for many years. Her knowledge of Local Government was considerable, both in Hampshire and the London Borough of Paddington. She continued to take a keen interest in the affairs of the Trust until the end of her life and she will be much missed by us all.
