We are fortunate in having John Nicholson as our guest speaker on this occasion. He is currently Head of Street Management for Merton Council in London. He has worked in the public sector for over twenty years, working mainly on traffic and transport issues. Now his work covers all aspects of design and management of the street scene. A Civil Engineer by profession, he is a strong advocate of close co-operation between all professions responsible for shaping our towns and cities - a view encapsulated in a report he co-edited in 1993 called 'Tomorrow's Towns'. John Nicholson's talk promises to be an interesting one and we encourage members to come and hear it.
