THE CITY OF WINCHESTER TRUST LIMITED
REPORT OF THE COUNCIL AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED
31 MARCH 2003

The first CWT TrustNews was produced in February 2002 under the editorship of Gill Collymore. This is a shorter and less fomwal document than the former Newsletter, and is produced at more frequent intervals. The concept has been welcomed and it is intended to continue publication in the new style.
Due to a lack of available support for organising a CWT Exhibition in the Public Library planned for May 2002, the exhibition was delayed to coincide with the timing of the Trust AGM in November 2002. We are grateful to Sally Patience and Rosemary Kinnaird-Smith for mounting the exhibition but would like to put out a strong plea for further volunteers for future exhibitions.
Two new designs for Trust Christmas cards were printed for sale during the 2002 Christmas period and proved to be popular. A further new design will be on sale over Christmas 2003. The artistic work put in by Christopher Jarman is much appreciated.
The indefatigable Jo Gordon-Watson organised two book-sales in St Maurice Covert during the period, raising a total of £800 for Trust funds. Here again, volunteers to assist with setting up, running the sales and dismantling at the end of the day are urgently needed.
The Trust website, www.cityofwinchestertrust.co.uk has been up and running throughout the period, and is constantly being updated. ln addition to basic information about the Trust (Aims, Achievements, Finances, Organisation, How to Join, “What is Hot?" etc), a large new section was added in March 2003; this lists the major Planning Applications that are under current consideration by the Trust’s Development Control section. The Trust’s comments on the Applications sent to the City Planning Department are also there for all to see.
