Wall at 25 Hyde Close
Last year the Preservation Trust began to make a record of boundary walls within the City. Of special interest, is the one drawn for us by Garrick Palmer at 25 Hyde Close. Here, stonework of the Jacobean period has been inserted into an even older wall of Tudor origin with some unusual semi-circular brick buttresses.
Formerly the garden wall of Hyde Abbey House, this now contains a terrace of modern houses built within the last few years.
