Development Control Committee
Chairman: Hugh Watson
Consists of the Convenors of the undermentioned panels and a representative of the Trees Committee. It coordinates development control policy.
Conservation Panel
Convenor: Frank Chippindale (Win. 4892) Monitors planning applications.
Housing Panel
Convenor: John Harrison (Win. 4884) Monitors planning applications.
Commercial Panel
Convenor: Hugh Watson (Win. 6958) Monitors planning applications.
Trees Committee
Chairman: Councillor Mrs. Patricia Edwards (Win. 65590) Monitors planning applications and advises on tree planting and landscaping.
Programme Committee
Chairman: Nick Roe
Visits Organiser: Christopher Webb (Win. 2015) Organises lectures and some other events.
Archives and Records Committee Chairman: Alan Weekes (Win. 68763) Collects, copies and stores archive material; organises exhibitions and displays.
Town Planning Committee Chairman: Christopher Gillham (Win. 67338) Monitors large scale plans — structure, area, town. Also monitors road proposals.
