The Heritage Centre, our most ambitious venture, also needs help in many ways as a later article describes, but nowhere more than in the coordinating role of Management Committee chairman. The skills that need to be co-ordinated are impressively handled by highly qualified and dedicated members, including the Centre's manager, the Display Committee and many others. This is the most fascinating and important job of all, but no special qualifications are necessary other than some experience of management – and, of course, a sense of humour!
