Auction of 2 VIP tours to Highgrove Gardens - TrustNews December 08
Two invitations for a VIP tour round the gardens at Highgrove have been given by HRH The Prince of Wales to Professor Martin Biddle and The Winchester Excavations Committee.
The purpose is to raise money by auction to aid the publication of two volumes that are vital for the history of Winchester: The Anglo-Saxon Minsters at Winchester and The Royal Mint at Winchester. The latter, with more than 2,400 photographs of Saxon and Norman coins, will be a treasure trove for people interested in the coinage of England.
