In recent times Winchester Market has expanded from Middle Brook Street into the High Street.
The move has been widely debated, with strong views expressed both for and against.
The City Council, which oversees the market, has listened to what has been said and made some changes. These revised arrangements are still being kept under review. The Trust has not expressed a view on the new market because within the Trust Council views are very mixed and we suspect this is reflected throughout the whole membership.
