Free day passes for National Trust and English Heritage properties

As an active member of Civic Voice we are keen to publicise the advantages to our members. Civic Voice has arranged for free day passes to properties managed by National Trust and English Heritage.

The NT Pass can be downloaded using the following link: www.civicvoice.orq.uk/ nationaltrustcivicvoiceoffer2012. The pass is transferable and can be used by others if you are already a NT member.

The English Heritage pass is more restrictive; it is not transferable and is usable between between 1st September and 31 January 2013. It is downloadable at the link: www.civicvoice.org.uk/englishheritage2012pass. Alternatively both passes can be obtained by post, including a stamped addressed envelope with your request sent to: Civic Voice, Unit 101, 82 Wood Street, The Tea Factory, Liverpool L1 4DQ.

Civic Watch Survey 23 June 2012

Thank you to all those who completed the short survey about views on where we live, either on line or on paper and thanks also go to all those who kindly manned the CWT stall on Saturday 23rd June. I have reported to Civic Voice the comments I received, that the survey was too banal, along with the results of the survey. Nearly 150 replies were received altogether.

We got strong positive results to the questions 'Are you proud of where you live?', with 92% saying yes and 'Do you feel part of your community?', with 83% saying yes. The third standard question, perhaps not surprisingly, produced a negative answer, 'Do you feel your voice is listened to?', with 46% saying no and 35% saying yes.

Civic Voice are intending to run a similar survey each year through all their member civic societies.
