Are you up for the challenge? - TrustNews Sept 12

Vicky, our secretary, is due to go on Maternity leave in mid October and the Trust is seeking to appoint someone to fill the gap for an initial period of six months. The formal advert is printed elsewhere in this newsletter.

It is a paid position and essential for the smooth running of the Trust and its office at the Heritage Centre on Upper Brook Street. One of the main parts of the role is dealing with members enquiries either by phone, email or in person at the Heritage Centre on a Wednesday morning when the office is open. The secretary also serves the Trust Council ensuring that minutes are taken and distributed, agendas are set and that meetings run smoothly.

Ever wondered about the internal workings of the Trust? Ever wanted to give some time to the Trust but not a long-term commitment? Need to gain some experience in either the business or charity sector? Then this might be the opportunity for you.

To quote Vicky "It's a lovely friendly atmosphere and the job allows to you be in touch with many different people from the city including other local organisations, the City Council, architects and also some national organisations".

If you'd like to talk through the role with Vicky then please call the Heritage centre on 01962 851664 or details of how to apply can be found in the advert.
