Have your say on transport and movement in Winchester - TrustNews Dec 17
Traffic, pollution, public transport, roads, cycling, parking Do you have views on how these issues affect Winchester and what should be done about them? This is your chance to make your voice heard.
An in-depth review of traffic and movement in and out of Winchester is now taking place and you can have your say.
The review, called the Winchester Movement Strategy, is being carried out by Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council. The aim of the review is to understand more clearly how traffic and people move around Winchester so that the councils can develop a vision and long term goals for traffic and transport improvements in Winchester over the next 20 to 30 years. lt will provide a framework from which the councils can develop detailed proposals and specific target measures.
The two councils are asking the public for their views on travelling in and around the city. Responses are required by 8"‘ December. The consultation document and the online response form are available on the Hampshire County Council website:

Paper copies of the consultation document, and a paper response form, are available at the City Council's Colebrook Street reception or by phoning 0300 555 1388. The Trust has a few copies of the form which are available for members at the Heritage Centre (open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.45am to 3pm).
The Trust is currently working on our response. We have long wanted to reduce the amount of traffic in central Winchester and our comments will be made in the light of this policy.
