Visit to Mells - TrustNews Jun 18
The City of Winchester Trust are visting Mells, Somerset on Monday 16th July 2018. Mells is a small village with strong comnnections to the Horner family (Lords of the Manor for centuries) and the Asquiths. Edwin Lutyens, with Eric Gill, created a memorial to Raymond Asquith after his death in the FirstWorld War and also a large porch which now serves as abus shelter! Alfred Munnings made an equestrian memorial, and there are many other interesting things to see.
