Alternative plan for Station Appoach

Judith Martin, a member of the Trust Council but acting in her personal capacity, has put forward a plan for low-rise social housing on the Station Approach (Carfax) site instead of the office blocks proposed by the City Council. She also suggests that the erstwhile South Western Inn could be extended to become a boutique hotel, and that the Cattlemarket site could see the gradual development of office space as need arises.

Mrs Martin’s plan was summarised in the Hampshire Chronicle of 7 May and is to be launched in full detail later this year.
