George Tusa
We pay tribute to a good friend of the Trust.
It is sad to record the death of George Tusa on 11th August 2021 while visiting his daughter in France. He suffered a broken hip as a result of a fall and died later in hospital. He was 89 years of age.
George was a member of the Trust for many years and until his resignation in July was a valuable and conscientious member of the Planning Appraisal Group panel I chaired. He could be relied on for a quiet and considered comment on each planning application.

George and his wife Daphne joined the Trust nearly 40 years ago. We had come to know them well and had the pleasure of staying with them in France where George was a member of the Paris staff of IBM at the time (I suspect it may have been then that Shione succeeded in recruiting him as a member of the PAG panel!). More hospitable hosts it is hard to imagine, confirmed by their wide circle of friends and the numbers that attended his memorial service.
