Heritage Centres and Councils
This is now well underway through the planning stage.
This year's brief to the school children is to consider an outside temporary theatre for the Cathedral to use for drama throughout the summer months.
Three schools are involved - a) Winnall County Primary: 10-11 year old children which is the age group the previous Chippindale Ventures have catered for. b) Wyvern School, Fair Oak: 14-15 year olds who are undertaking the project as part of their GCSE syllabus. As well as considering the architectural content some of the students will be undertaking a theatrical occasion as part of their project. c) Northaw Preparatory School. West Tytherley: the architecture club at Northaw School will also be taking part and we look forward to welcoming them all the way from West Tytherley.
We would like to take this opportunity of thanking Canon Walker, Eleanor John and the Dean and Chapter for being so helpful and making a major contribution to the proceedings.
There will be a presentation in the Cathedral on 1st July, and the schemes will be exhibited during the following week. All members who are interested will be welcome to come on 1st July.
