Sally Port - Trust Annual Report 1964
The Trust has been concerned that the Sally Port, one of the few remaining entitled relics of the old Castle, might be endangered with the new developments connected with the construction of the new Law Courts. Correspondence took place with the County Council and Architect, and it was learnt that no detailed plans of the area had been made yet, but it was hoped to incorporate this important passage way in the new scheme. It is a point which the Trust will keep in mind.
