Hyde Gateway - Trust Annual Report 1966
The demolition of cottages by Hyde Abbey Gate has revealed an interesting portion of the old Abbey wall which has been hidden for very many years. Plans are in hand to renovate the gateway, which is in need of considerable repair, but it is anticipated that it will be some time before the work will be carried out.
