St. John's Street is also referred to later, but a brief note is appropriate here to welcome the efforts of the parish on behalf of St. John's Church. The problems, though still severe, may not be quite as bad as was thought originally, and the first steps on the long road to full repair are now being taken. The problems associated with the old school hall across the road have not been tackled, but with a revitalised community its usefulness should secure its future, and the Trust will do whatever it can to help.
