Loan Slide Collection - Trust Annual Report 1996
In March 1996 we opened a collection of slides which can be loaned out from the Heritage Centre. The collection consists of two sets, one showing the area within the City walls as it was in 1995, and the second showing the same area before 1995. The first set has been made by volunteers from the Trust, and the second is the result of the donation of slides to the Trust.
The loan out has now started, including the loan of slides for a series of ten lectures by a Trust member on the history of Winchester.
In 1996 we have continued photographing changing sites and buildings and these slides will be added to the "1995 set" at the end of this year. By doing this photography on an annual basis, we hope to maintain an interesting record of changes to the City as they occur in the years to come.
