Planning Appraisal Group - TrustNews Jun 12

Unfortunately Shione Carden has been unable to prepare a full report this month.

The planning appraisal panels meet weekly to review all the planning applications within the city area. In the past 3 months the panels saw 109 applications, commented on 41 and objected to 20.

During the same period 10 presentations were made to the Trust by applicants. These presentations, often given before a planning application is submitted, help the panels to understand the applicants’ proposals and can provide an opportunity for the applicant to amend and improve their proposals in the light of the Trusts reaction. The planning appraisal panel members are all volunteers who diligently give their time and knowledge to provide comments on planning applications on behalf of the Trust. Should you be interested in working for the Trust in this way, please initially discuss with the secretary. A summary of the Trust’s comments will resume in the next edition of TrustNews.
