Those members who took part in the visit to Guildford on 17th April were well rewarded. An appreciation appears elsewhere in this issue.
Old Portsmouth
The next visit is to Old Portsmouth on Monday, 18th June. A flyer accompanies this issue. Early application is advised.
Malvern
The date of the visit to Malvern is now fixed for Tuesday 25th September. Because of the distance, this is arranged to include an overnight stay. A detailed programme is being prepared with the help of the Malvern Civic Society. There is much to see there and in the surrounding beautiful countryside, especially nearby Ledbury which is a “black and white” town of much charm. Some members will wish to visit the Morgan Motor works and I hope that we can visit Perrycroft in Colwell. It is a notable “Arts and Crafts” house by Voysey. At the end of that week, the Malvern Autumn Show takes place. A wonderful mix of flowers and country life.
It would be most helpful if you would record an interest as soon as possible and then the detailed programme can be sent to you. Already 8 members intend to go. The likely limit will be 25 so don’t be left out.
