Summer Walks 2012 - TrustNews Jun 12
June 6th to August 29th - Weekly on Wednesdays
The walks in the second half of the season are mainly on subjects from previous centuries which have all contributed to Winchester’s heritage. Taking one example, WARG, the society for Winchester archaeology and local history will be continuing with their excavations of St Elizabeth’s College. But there will be two walks on contemporary subjects to help us understand aspects of Winchester where change is taking place. I am grateful to all who are guiding the walks whether for the first time or as regular contributors.
We do not want to deter anyone from attending on the spur of the moment but some walks are popular and oversubscribed. So if you want to avoid the risk of being disappointed, may I emphasise that booking in advance is recommended. The details for doing this are in the Notes Section below the programme. Please leave a contact telephone number.
