Well, not quite but a near thing. When there was a flood alert in Upper Brook Street, the combined efforts of Janet Wiles, Mollie Francis, John Beveridge, John Stanning ensured that the Heritage Centre was well protected.
Sandbags were obtained and placed around the doors and airbricks and, inside, books and computer equipment raised from the floors. Damp penetration attacked the lower flat from rain driving against the south facing wall and dehumidifiers were installed quickly by Andrew Smith, who manages the flats for us. Well done everybody.
