Lord Ashburton

As many of you will probably know, Lord Ashburton died recently, aged 91. He served as one of the Trust's Vice-Presidents from 2004 until 2015. Sir Peter Ramsbotham, our President at the time, invited him to serve as a vice president, which he willingly undertook, as he had been a long-time supporter of the City of Winchester Trust and its philosophy. Lord Ashburton resigned from the post when he started to take a working interest in The Grange, his old family home, and its new re-incarnation as a successful opera house.
