Data Protection Act - TrustNews April 1986

The Act requires us to tell members what information about them we are holding on computer and provide an opportunity for objection.

Members' names and addresses, area codes and subscription information are currently held on computer. We are considering removing the subscription information and transferring it to a card index, but this is not yet certain. Having the other information on computer saves a great deal of time and effort, especially in the production of address labels.

The Trust will respond to any objection from a member by removing his or her data from the computer and transferring it to a card.
