Recent Trust Events - TrustNews August 1988
Fortunately, rain held off on the evening of 25th May when a large number of members visited two delightful waterside gardens - Mrs. Eileen Bendall's at Wharf Mill and Mr. and Mrs. John Browning 's at The Soke, Chesil Street.
At lunchtime on 14th June the Heritage Centre was packed to overflowing for Bill Kirby's illustrated talk on Abbot's Barton Farmhouse. The City Council has now put this important Grade ‘A’ Listed property on the market.
On a sunny evening on 20th June about thirty members went on a walkabout led by Keith Leaman, looking at Winchester gables. It is on walks such as this that people realise how much there is to see that they never noticed before.
Finally, on 12th July, Mrs. Corinne Bennett conducted a group on a tour of those parts of the Cathedral which are seldom accessible to the public.
The Trust is grateful to everyone who helped to make these events the success they were.
