Hampshire Photographic Survey - TrustNews July 1991

The Hampshire Archives Trust is carrying out a survey of photographic collections held by individuals and organisations. The object of this survey is to bring together information about photographic material on Hampshire subjects and people, and to compile a list for the benefit of researchers and others. It is also hoped that it may be possible to borrow and duplicate particularly interesting or early photographs. Winchester Preservation Trust is itself making a collection of slides and has accumulated about 400, mostly of Winchester buildings dating from the 1970s to the present time.

Both for our own purposes, and in order to help Hampshire Archives Trust, we shall be very glad to hear from any member who has slides or photographs, particularly early ones, of buildings and events in Winchester or its surroundings. If you can help, please contact Harold Sturges, 29 Stockers Avenue, Weeke, Winchester S022 5LB (0962) 863420.
