Sculpture - Trust Annual Report 1983
Sculpture has made a welcome return to Winchester with the splendid Henry Moore exhibition. At last the Law Court area has been seen with occupants of a suitable scale. Would it not be marvellous if the centrepiece obscuring the absurd round table paving could be left behind like the Frink Horse? Neither is to everyone's taste, of course, but who would exclude Walton or Britten from cathedral concerts simply because they are devotees of Mozart or Beethoven? Let the dissenters campaign for what they will to add to Winchester's repertoire, but thanks be for our Frink!
